snow storms that force everyone to stay in the house, making pancakes by candle light, a big house with many friends, finding the kid asleep while sledding, piecing together my first quilt, morning sickness and more morning sickness, seeing old friends at new beginnings, the smell of spring, flying off to Greece with the husband, watching the sunset over Santorini, watching the sun rise again the next morning, feeling the first kicks of a growing babe, watching father and son swim on a hot day, letting the toddler slurp down half a chocolate shake without breathing, taking a morning walk through the monuments in DC, hearing the kid babble in Chinese, my growing belly, a morning spent at Wingaersheek beach, a nice steak dinner on our anniversary, the feel of a newborn on my chest, the love of a brother's kisses, popping popcorn just for fun, lunching with my mom all around Boston, knitting hats for the four of us, Christmas concert with the whole family, watching my child paint, the smell of a nursing infant, a big family reunion in Michigan, homemade dumplings and noodles and more, a hot cup of coffee with the husband on a cold morning, the pure joy of a twirling toddler, the wonderful peace of a sleeping babe, a blessed 2011.

a few moments of 2011
